After this Phil worked as a songwriter and producer with various artists (Florie Palmer, Sandie Shaw). He started to write music for TV and radio commericials, corporate films and documentaries ("The Other Bomb", "Chain of Tears", "The Fuhrer", "The Oil Fires"...). He also wrote the music for a number of feature films ("The Sleepwalker", "The Enchanted", incidental music for "Twenty One", end title song for "Tarzan and Jane").
He created the band Beautiful World, which was signed by WEA following the success of two songs written for Timotei commercials. His album "In Existence" was sold internationally.
