Biography
In the mid seventies I released two albums on Chrysalis Records, the first 'A Friend of mine is going blind' and the second 'Read On'. Both achieved reasonable success in America, the first staying for several months in the Billboard Hot 100 listings. All my work has been produced and mentored by Guy Fletcher OBE, a happy association which has prevailed for over thirty years.
I have had my songs covered by Sir Cliff Richard, Nana Mouscouri, Clodagh Rogers, Mary O'Hara and others. In the early 80s I represented UK in the first Sopot International song festival winning a gold award, the following year in Instanbul winning my category, in 1986 I was awarded the Basca Best UK Composer award at the Cavan Song Festival in Ireland.
In 2005 I compiled a new CD entitled 'Now.. Where Were We? which is available through the website.
I am now back in the studio, writing again, and the future is looking very exciting.
