Biography
I was born at a very early age in Letchworth, Herts. My parents moved down to Horley in Surrey when I was 2 years old and reluctantly they took me with them.
My interest in music began when I was about 12. My father had a guitar but it just hung on the wall for years. One day I took it down, bought a book of chords and strummed an E major. It sounded terrible. Then I realised that being left-handed, the strings were in the wrong place.
Many years later I have my own studio at home where I do most of my recording. Songs, themes, orchestral pieces, jingles etc. I play guitar OK, keyboards badly. The studio is based around Apple G5 running Logic Pro 6.>I have also composed and produced for commercial video, children's ballet and specific audition pieces for choreography.>Also play in live acoustic duo, The Heartsmiths (www.heartsmiths.com) where play covers of the past decades in our own style.>Currently doing some co-writes with other BACS members.
I like to work with "like-minded" writers. By that I mean lyricists and composers who are flexible in their approach and not too precious about altering their work. With co-writes we must be prepared to give a little. With a flexible approach, in the end the song itself will be greater than the sum of the parts.
