Peter Crump was born in 1928. After taking an English degree at Oxford he studied composition at the R.A.M. He then taught in schools and privately, but continued to compose. Three pieces have been broadcast: the Third String Quartet played by the Amici Quartet, Two Diversions for flute and piano (Delia Ruhm and Mariegold Pickersgill) and Unum ex Illorum Sabbatorum for piano (Ian Lake).
Peter lives in Leicester where he combines composition and piano teaching by the Suzuki method.
