Andrew Campling (b. 1956) began his career in music as a chorister at St Paul's Cathedral. He read theology at Keble College, Oxford and later gained a B.Mus and an M.Mus (in composition) at Goldsmith's College, London, where his teachers included Edward Gregson and David Wright.
Andrew was Head of Music for seven years at a comprehensive school in East London and his interests include composing music for amateur musicians. He directs the London Docklands Singers, the Thames Chamber Choir, the Choir of the London School of Economics and the Marcel Sinfonia.
