Daniel Giorgetti was born in London and studied composition at the Royal College of Music. His concert music has been performed across the UK and abroad.
His work for film and television includes drama documentaries The Somme (Darlow Smithson Productions / Channel 4), Rothko in the Simon Schama series Power of Art (BBC) and The Last Days of the Raj (Blast Films / Channel 4) directed by Carl Hindmarch.
His most recent score is for the BBC drama The Curse of Steptoe directed by Michael Samuels (Our Hidden Lives). Starring Phil Davis (Five Days) as Wilfrid Brambell and Jason Isaacs (The State Within) as Harry H Corbett, the film focusses on the real life drama being played out in the lives of these two comedy icons.
Future projects include ITV1 drama Caught in a Trap directed by Michael Samuels. Sound of Music star Connie Fisher plays a young woman whose out of control obsession with Elvis Presley lands her in deep water. The cast also includes Jim Carter (The Oxford Murders, Cranford), Geraldine James (Heist, The Last Enemy) and Joe Absalom (Doc Martin, Vincent).
