Biography
I am a classically trained pianist, flautist and vocalist. I decided to become a singer/songwriter after performing a piece I wrote for my mother at her funeral.
I am currently developing and performing a collection of songs for my next album ‘Trusting a Twirled World’.
My album 'Remaking the Pearl' was remixed by some of the world's finest electronica producers, and my current project "Trusting a Twirled World" is an organic progression from my live set over the last few years. These thought-provoking, emotive piano based songs have been widely tipped to redefine contemporary classical/ folk lyricism and composition.
My fifth appearance at The Big Chill this year is the first as a solo artist. Accompanied by composer/ producer James Murray on guitar, bass & electronics, and The Heritage Orchestra’s own Jon Cottle on cello, I'll be presenting tracks from ‘Trusting a Twirled World’ as well as a selection of highlights from the ‘Magic and Madness’ LP.
"Unlike just about every other female singer around at the moment, there's no showboating, just pure melody" Ian Peel [DJ Mag, voted #1 download May 2006]
"Magic & Madness is one of those albums that you’ll give yourself kudos for buying early when everyone else buys it later. First rate stuff." Adrian Carter [020.com]
