Biography

Dan Cullen is a self-taught guitarist, bassist, vocalist and composer. He has 30 years' experience as a songwriter and performer, and turned his hand to serious composition more recently. In addition to this, his engineering and production skills have received praise from musicians and producers alike across the globe. He has worked as a front-man in bands, and has written a vast collection of songs, lyrics and classical music.

Dan took his first step from songwriting into composition to "see if he could do it". It turned out that he definitely could, and received high praise from the world over for his fist work, PHI. This lead to a natural desire to try more with different formats and ensembles. He recently completed his "Beanstalk Suite for Orchestra", and has written music for various commercial projects.

He is now co-running a new music production company, Striking Media with his wife and colleague DerynCullen.

This year's media projects include:

"Healthy Singing for Female Voices" - a vocal training CD commissioned by Vocaltutor Ltd composed, arranged, recorded and produced by Striking Media Music.

"The Corpse Wore White" - score and sound design by Striking Media Music for short film directed by Mike Hallett, Mica Films

"Bane" - additional music currently being composed, recorded and produced for this Sci-Fi/ Horror feature directed by James Eaves, Amber Pictures. Commercial release will be in 2008.
