Biography
Peter is a graduate of the University of Manchester and of the University of Wales and a co-Director and a founder of the music publishers BaBa Productions. Many of Peter's songs have been sung by artistes and choirs around Britain and the continent, but most notably Genies and Rainbows and One World.
The demands of a modern songwriting career have involved Peter writing in many styles - Pop, Folk, Easy Listening, and for children. His better known songs include Beach Hotel and Living For The Weekend (Pop); On The Run, River Journey and The Hills Of The Valley (Folk); and Beat of My Heart and One of Those Days (Easy Listening).
A song in the easy listening style which he co-wrote with his father who is the former Musical Director of the Northallerton Male Voice and Ladies Choirs and also a co-Director and a founder of BaBa Productions, is A Song For All People. This song was a major prize winner in the National Association of Choirs Millennium Music Competition.
Peter is also the writer of a number of Singthings for children of approximately 4 - 7 years. A Singthing is a children's story/play with songs which lasts for about twenty minutes. The Singthings in his current repertoire are written around four different principal characters and their friends in the 'animal world': Cyril the Squirrel, Dillon Dinosaur, Colin Caterpillar and A Fish Called Chips, all of which Peter regularly performs at Primary schools, arts centres, festivals and children's functions.
