Biography

Paul Honey's musical career began as a chorister at Westminster Abbey where he sang daily in the choir. Since graduating from Southampton University, he has enjoyed a highly varied career not only as a composer and arranger, but as a performer, musical director and record producer.

Early on in his career he worked primarily as a pianist and keyboard player in Jazz and World Music, but in the last few years he has concentrated on working as a composer and arranger in film, television and for the concert platform.
He has composed the music for over 80 television programmes (including Brum, Badjelly The Witch and the BAFTA-nominated Boohbah), as well as for commercials (The AA, AEG Lavamat, Barnados).
He recently orchestrated the song 'Lost Without Your Love' that features in Richard Attenborough's film Closing The Ring.
He has also been in collaboration with the violinist Dermot Crehan on a collection of pieces for Irish soloists and orchestra. An album of the music was recorded in Dublin in 2007 and will be released in 2008.
Early 2008 also sees him writing a work for solo violin and voices, commissioned by the Korean-born violinist So-Ock Kim.
