Biography

To refer to this entry as a biography is overstating my case as I arrive here very much by default. I have always written, during my time in the world of Advertising and Marketing, and have never struggled to produce a “headline” or some “acceptable” body copy.

So when my son asked if I could help him out with some lyrics for his O–Level music, I happily penned the lyric to his melody entitled  Making my way Home, which contributed to him gaining his “B” Grade O-Level.

Inspired by this and thinking I could help I continued to write Lyrics, unaware that “composers” prefer to supply the melody and then produce lyrics to fit the melody. Well, this would appear to be the way my son and other musicians I have met prefer to work. My son has now moved on to ACM and is presently developing his ideas with other members of the college, leaving me at a loose end... musically speaking!

However, through the college I was introduced to Chris Bradford who, having reviewed some of my work, suggested I join the Academy, where I might get the opportunity to collaborate with other members.
