Biography
With her highly original combination of voice and cello, Laura Hewison is attracting attention both for her songwriting and for her "fearlessly adventurous arrangements" of traditional folk songs. (New Roots 2006)
Laura graduated with a BMus in Folk and Traditional music from Newcastle University in 2007, however her musical approach is not often traditional!
Laura has performed extensively throughout the country especially at world and folk music festivals and venues.
Laura is currently recording her first solo album which is scheduled to be ready in August 08 so watch this space!
