Biography

From the age of 16, Graham was a journeyman drummer in numerous blues, soul, jazz and folk bands, appearing everywhere from the Cambridge Folk Festival to the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane and the 'legendary' Green Gate, Newbury Park. But when his latest band inexplicably rejected the overtures of Jazz Summers - soon to co- manage Wham! - he decided it was time to quit.

Graham had been contributing lyrics for the band's original material but, having closed the musical door, spent the following years writing magazine articles and books and coaching football, including managing a crime prevention programme at West Ham United.

His appetite for music was rekindled by the discovery that a fellow coach played keyboards, had a small recording studio and possessed a huge collection of vintage Motown singles. The pair formed a writing partnership and commenced recording with gospel/session singers and publishers Paul Lee and Trevor Johnson of Carnelian Music.
Material for singer/actress/radio and television presenter Sadie Nine's hilarious one-woman show - performed off Broadway and in the West End - followed.

Graham is currently managing and writing with 'The Bridge', a dynamic young London soul/funk band recently courted by major record labels and publishers.

"I did enjoy listening to your material, particularly 'Catchers and Flyers' which I thought was highly original. You obviously know what you're doing when it comes to writing songs."
