Biography

I am a singer/songwriter from London. I have been playing since I was 10 and through my teens appeared in a variety of bands.

But it was in my twenties that I started to develop as a solo singer and songwriter, taking my music to the audience with simple voice and guitar.

I continue to tour my acoustic shows around the UK and am a regular on the London acoustic scene, appearing at Viva Viva, the 12 Bar, The Twist and The Troubadour etc... I have also toured Los Angeles, Nashville, parts of Europe and Ireland.

In 1996 I decided to start releasing my own records. The first album was called "Hit the Big Time", a collection of songs recorded on 4 track and remastered for the CD, preserving a special period when I recorded them all in my bedroom. The smallness of this record was the appeal, and it gained airplay and some lovely reviews all over the world, from big territories such as America and Japan, to the likes of Lithuania and Macedonia.

In 1998 I put out album number two "Happy Face". 12 songs recorded as live voice and guitar.  Followed by "Is That You?" in 2000, "Don't Turn Your Back On The Moon" in 2002, "How Did I Get Here?" in 2004.
and in "Inside" in 2006l
In 2005 I released two singles on iTunes and my own site, "You're The One"
and "Everything Or Nothing".

Now in 2007 all the albums are available on iTunes.

An extra sideline too is a triple CD called "Songs For Film" going out to as many film directors I can find, in the hope that some of my songs can be
used in the movies or on TV.   I think new songs are great when they pop up
in a film, often helping to cement a memorable moment.

Some reviews....
"A voice between Ray Davies and Paul McCartney" - Dirty Linen, USA
"Intelligent lyrics and essential songs" - Time Out, London
"Great songs, great voice" - New Folk Sound, Holland
"Simply beautiful" - Notes, Germany
"A songwriter you can rely on for consistant quality" - Tin Drum, Ireland
"Sublime beauty" - Orikon, Japan
"Perfect" - Tutti Frutti, Italy
"Deliciously rich" - The Coast, Canada
"A charming, deceptively simple album" - Folk on Tap, England
"Attractive melodies and well crafted lyrics delivered with flair and panache" - John O'Regan, Ireland
