Members' chance to stand for election and vote!

2008 is an Academy Election year when all 12 members of the Concert, Media and Songwriters’ Executives must stand down or seek re-election. And remember, once the new Executive Committees have been elected, it is they who choose the three members from their Executive who will serve on the Academy Board. So these are important elections which will inevitably shape the future of your Academy.

The Academy has been well served by its Board and Executive Committees but there is always room for new blood and for new ideas. It is in the interest of Academy democracy that we should all look forward to healthily contested Elections.

Election Timetable

Close of nominations is Monday 22nd September, ballot papers will be distributed by Friday 26th September and the results of the elections will be announced at the Academy AGM on Thursday 27th November.
