Academy member scores a BAFTA
The Academy is delighted to congratulate Professional member Christopher Gunning
on his BAFTA for the musical score to the film "La Vie En Rose", starring Marion Cotillard, who incidentally won the BAFTA for Best Actress.
The Orange British Academy Film Awards took place at London's Royal Opera House on 11th February 2008 and professional members Jonny Greenwood, Christopher Gunning and Dario Marianelli were each nominated for the Award for Best Music. Jonny Greenwood was nominated for the score to "There Will Be Blood" starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Dario Marianelli for the score to "Atonement", starring James McAvoy and Keira Knightley.
In February 2008, he also won a Czech ‘Lion’ award, for the same score. The Lions are the Czech equivalent of the British BAFTA awards.
